Dr. Ursula Hammes – Dr. Ursula Hammes is currently President of Hammes Energy & Consultants, LLC, and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Geological Sciences, Texas A&M University, teaching and assessing various shale oil/gas systems. Dr. Hammes has 25+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry and academia in Europe and USA in positions ranging from exploration, development, research, and management. She has provided advanced consulting in shale-gas/oil and carbonate systems and has taught industry short courses and in-house training courses for universities and oil companies.
Dr. Hammes obtained her Diploma at the University of Erlangen, Germany, and her Ph.D. at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her graduate studies specialized in carbonate depositional environments, sequence stratigraphy, carbonate diagenesis, and rock-water interactions. Her background is diverse ranging from exploration, exploitation and business development for Anadarko Petroleum, consulting for Marathon Oil, Equinor, and various other independent oil/gas companies, conducting research in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico as Research Scientist and Principal Investigator of $3+ million projects for the State of Texas Advanced Resource Recovery project and leading research and advising students at the University of Potsdam, Germany, Texas A&M University, and Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas at Austin. Before her career in oil and gas she also worked for an environmental firm, IT Corporation (now Shaw Environmental), as geoscientist.
Lynne Fowler - Lynne Fowler, CFA is Founder of Astera Group which offers strategy and financial consulting to energy companies. As a 25-year veteran across the energy sector, she excels at understanding the intersection of energy markets, macro economics and political trends. Previously, she managed a global infrastructure portfolio for the Texas state pension exposing her to global energy policy and renewable energy trends. She began her energy career as an oil and gas banker at ING Barings.
Amy Kyrish - Amy Kyrish is owner of Warm Hearts Land, LLC. Amy graduated from Texas Tech University in 2005 and attended Texas Tech Law School in 2006. After completing a year of law school, she went on to work in the energy industry as a land agent. She now has over 12 years of experience related to the energy industry covering a broad range of experience in oil & gas, wind, and right-of-way work. For the past several years she has worked for a large-scale oil & gas operator with assets held in Texas and Oklahoma working with the Division Order team. She also works with assisting mineral owners directly in determining mineral ownership and claiming suspended royalties from operators and State Unclaimed Property.
Tracy Lenz - Tracy Lenz is owner and engineer at Pecan Tree Oil & Gas, LLC, since 2020, where she provides appraisal and consulting services for mineral owners. Prior, she was with Jones Energy for eight years and served as their reserves engineer and asset manager, and with Chevron for five years in Midland, TX, and Lafayette, LA. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from University of Texas, a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California, is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, and a Certified Mineral Appraiser.
