With over 20 years of experience in the global energy and financial markets, Lynne Fowler founded global energy research and consulting firm Astera Insights to bring transparency to conflicting policy, economic and political developments that form her unique insights into energy demand trends. She studies global energy markets in the context of financial market cycles, utilizing her comprehensive experience trading commodities, currencies, bonds and equities. Previously Ms. Fowler managed a global energy infrastructure portfolio for the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS). Ms. Fowler has been a panelist at infrastructure conferences including the Institutional Infrastructure Investors and the PEI Real Assets. Ms. Fowler began her financial career as an oil and gas banker at ING Barings. Ms. Fowler received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a CFA Charterholder.
